I am a DC based theatre administrator building pillars in company management, general management, casting, and producing.
My theatre administration journey started while at UC San Diego, serving as the Managing Director of student theatre organizations Company 157 and Muir Musical, producing over 30 student-written productions and 6 licensed plays & musicals.
I transitioned into regional theatre with an internship in Company Management at La Jolla Playhouse in the summer of 2023. There, I worked on the world premieres of Anna Deavere Smith's Love All directed by Marc Bruni, Is It Thursday Yet? created & choreographed by Jenn Freeman & Sonya Tayeh, and Joe Iconis' The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical directed by Artistic Director Christopher Ashley.
After graduation, I moved to Washington, DC for the Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship at Arena Stage. There I helped company manage and contract the companies of the tour of Jocelyn Bioh's Jaja's African Hair Braiding directed by Whitney White, Ken Ludwig's adaptation of Death on the Nile and Karen Zacarias' adaptation of The Age of Innocence both directed by Artistic Director Hana S. Sharif, and world premieres of John Leguizamo's The Other Americans directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Matthew Libby's Data directed by Margot Bordelon, Sarah Silverman's The Bedwetter directed by Anne Kauffman, Larissa FastHorse's Fake It Until You Make It directed by Michael John Garces, Tarell Alvin McCraney's We Are Gathered directed by Kent Gash, and Lauren Yee & Heather Christian's A Wrinkle in Time directed by Lee Sunday Evans.
The following summer, I worked at Chautauqua Theatre Company where I helped company manage an Emily Mann directed production of Execution of Justice, The Real James Bond...Was Dominican written and performed by Christopher Rivas, and the world premiere of Tell Me You're Dying by C.A. Johnson, directed by Producing Artistic Director Jade King Carroll.
I am now back in Washington, DC at Shakespeare Theatre Company as the Assistant Company Manager where our current season includes Jocelyn Bioh's adaptation of Merry Wives directed by Taylor Reynolds, The Wild Duck directed by Artistic Director Simon Godwin, Guys and Dolls directed by Washington National Opera's Artistic Director Francesca Zambello, Paranormal Activity: a new story live on staged based on the film series, Bill Irwin's On Beckett, the U.S. premiere of Royal Shakespeare Company's adaptation of Hamnet directed by Erica Whyman, Eddie Izzard in The Tragedy of Hamlet, and ending with Wendell Pierce starring in Othello directed by Artistic Director Simon Godwin, on which I also had the privilege of assisting Casting Director Danica Rodriguez.
